Veterinary Assistant - Equitom Lummen
We are looking for a motivated, polyvalent veterinary assistant to join our team in Lummen!

About the role
- You will assist the vets during consultations, RX, ultrasounds, etc.
- You ensure that the consultation rooms and operating theatres are always clean and orderly,
and that the necessary equipment is always present and correctly sterilised. - Preparing the animal for surgery (installation, disinfection, shaving, etc.)
- You assist the surgeons during operations (handing over instruments, etc.)
- You supervise the horses while they are asleep/awakening in the recovery box.
- You support the administration (medical files/reports, e-mails, and telephones)
- You contribute to the structure and efficient organisation of the workplace.
- You are responsible for the pharmacy:
- Placing and following up orders
- Replenishing stock
- Unpacking and checking deliveries
- Entering medication into the system
- Checking expiry dates
- Stock counting
- Keeping fridges and shelves clean
Surgery
Who are you?
- You have obtained your Bachelor degree in animal care or equivalent through experience.
A first work experience is a plus. - You are fluent in Dutch, French and/or English is a plus.
- You ideally live in the region, at maximum 30 minutes from our clinic.
- You are a team player and enjoy open communication.
- You are a born multi-tasker, customer-friendly and service-oriented.
- You can deal flexibly with stressful and changing circumstances.
- You are an initiator who wants to improve yourself systematically.
