Skin scraping consists of taking crusts from the skin lesion to see if there are any parasites present with the help of a microscope.
Skin biopsies consist of taking several small cores of skin after administration of a local anaesthetic in order to look at them under the microscope and guide us in the diagnosis and treatment.
